Health and care workers have a lot to do, and this has only become more apparent in recent years. By creating bots to answer questions and automatically fill in paperwork, we can free up both their time and mental energy to focus on what matters.
Most recently, in conjunction with Cornwall Care and EPIC, we have created AJ, a bot who can guide care home workers through everything from password changes to booking time off. By consulting with the workers themselves, AJ reflects the language, tone, and style of instruction that people in the sector find helpful. Through helping people to resolve their own queries, AJ will build confidence in their skills and understanding, reducing mental load for both the individuals and their colleagues.
Prior to that, we created VIVA, a voice assistant for nurses - 81% of whom agree paperwork takes time away from patients - which makes more interfaces touchless.
Technology shouldn't be a barrier to care in the health sector, it should facilitate it. At Hi9, we're developing solutions to ensure that's the case. From care homes to hospitals, we work with patients and staff to develop bots that improve efficiency and quality of treatment. Alongside universities including Plymouth and Exeter, we've been creating solutions, and will continue to do so in the future.
